Young Visionaries Created a “City of the Future” at the Youth Club

The Secretariat for Local Self-Government and Cooperation with Civil Society, the Youth Office, and the Secretariat for Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning of the Capital City organized a competition for high school students titled “City of the Future – Your Idea, Our Realization.” The participants included students from the Secondary School of Civil Engineering and Geodesy “Inž Marko Radević,” the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering “Vaso Aligrudić,” the Secondary Vocational School “Ivan Uskoković,” and the Gymnasium “Slobodan Škerović.”

Through an innovative approach, the young participants proposed concrete solutions for a more urban and greener city development. This year’s challenge focused on three key areas: smart urban planning, green oases, and efficient public transportation.

The participants stood out with their knowledge in the field of environmental sustainability, presenting projects and plans that contribute to creating a modern and sustainable urban space.

An expert jury evaluated the works based on innovation, environmental sustainability, technical feasibility, and quality of presentation, and awarded prizes to the best entries. The first prize was awarded to Tara Rudanović for an interesting solution in the field of smart planning, the second prize went to Anastasija Kovač for her work on efficient public transport, and the third prize was awarded to Anđela Vujadinović for her project on green oases.

The goal of this competition is not only to encourage creativity, but also to give young people the opportunity to participate in shaping the space and direction of development of our community.
