Public Call for NGOs to Participate in the Thematic Teams of the European Youth Capital Project

With the aim of creating, developing, and implementing activities within the Programme Budget of the European Youth Capital 2028 project, the Executive Board of the European Youth Capital 2028 project hereby announces a Public Call for all interested non-governmental organizations implementing youth policy within the territory of the Capital City, to participate in the work of the project’s thematic teams for the period 2026–2028.

We would like to remind interested parties that the Programme Budget of the European Youth Capital project is structured around four thematic areas: active youth participation; innovation and creativity; green agenda; and the common good.

For each thematic area, two representatives from the NGO sector will be selected to participate in its implementation. Each NGO may nominate a maximum of one member per thematic area.

Eligible applicants are young people aged 18 to 30 who are members of non-governmental organizations and have at least two years of experience in one of the above-mentioned fields, demonstrated through participation in projects, initiatives, working groups, or advocacy processes. Candidates are expected to have an understanding of youth policies, participatory processes, strategic planning, and public policies, as well as the ability to contribute to the development of concrete proposals, measures, and activities. Particular value will be placed on teamwork and cross-sectoral cooperation skills, as well as a strong understanding of the local context and the needs of young people.

In the selection process, consideration will be given to the number and scope of projects implemented in the relevant thematic area, formal education and certificates relevant to the field of work, participation in the preparation of strategic and other development documents, engagement in networks, bodies, and working groups, as well as submitted recommendations and references.

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the implementation teams is 15 days from the date of publication of this Public Call, ending on 18 June 2026.

Applications must be submitted in writing, indicating the name of the authority to which the application is addressed (Secretariat for Local Self-Government and Cooperation with Civil Society), at the counters located at 20 Njegoševa Street (Capital City Assembly Building), in a sealed envelope marked:

“FOR THE EYC2028 PUBLIC CALL – DO NOT OPEN”
