International Youth Day is an opportunity to once again remind ourselves of how important young people’s voices, ideas, energy and active participation are to the development of our city.

The Office for Youth continuously works to create new opportunities for young people, empower and connect them, support their initiatives and projects, and build a stronger youth sector in which young people have the space to participate, propose ideas and create.

None of this would be possible without young people, their ideas, needs, initiatives and willingness to be an active part of the community. Together, we have been building the path that brought Podgorica the title of European Youth Capital 2028.

For us, this title represents an additional responsibility to move forward with even greater commitment, create new opportunities, connect young people with local and European opportunities, and build a city where their voices are heard and transformed into concrete change.

Because a city shaped for young people is not created for young people – it is created with young people.
