The Capital City Office for Youth has supported the organisation of the first “Mosaic of Cultures” Festival, which will bring together young people, artists, and citizens in Podgorica on 5 and 6 September through a diverse programme dedicated to cultural diversity, multiculturalism, art, and community.
Recognising the importance of initiatives that enable young people to actively shape the cultural and social life of the city, the Office for Youth supported the festival with the aim of further encouraging youth activism, creativity, and intercultural dialogue.
During the two festival days, visitors can enjoy a diverse programme including guest performances, live music, workshops, film screenings, theatre performances, Latin dances, and other cultural and entertainment activities. The first day of the festival will take place on 5 September, from 15:00 to 00:00, at Kružni tok, while the second day will be held on 6 September, from 18:00 to 22:00, in Njegošev Park.
By supporting the “Mosaic of Cultures” Festival, the Office for Youth continues to encourage initiatives that provide young people with opportunities to create, connect, and actively participate in their community. At the same time, events like this help transform public spaces into places for meeting, exchanging ideas, and enjoying quality cultural activities accessible to young people and all citizens.
The festival is also an opportunity to promote Podgorica as an open, inclusive, and multicultural city where diversity is recognised as a value and an important potential for connecting people and developing the community.
Admission to all festival activities is free.
The activity is implemented as part of the practical component of the educational programme leading to the professional qualification of Youth Activist, within the project “Youth Work as a Driver of Community Development and Cultural Heritage Preservation”, implemented by Forum MNE. The project is supported through BOOST Balkans, a regional initiative implemented by ALDA with financial support from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD)and co-funded by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro.
