The Secretariat for Local Self-Government and Cooperation with Civil Society – Youth Office, in cooperation with partner organizations, is organizing a panel discussion as part of the candidacy process for the title of European Youth Capital 2028. The panel will focus on key topics such as participation, inclusion, and support for young people.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the premises of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, starting at 7 PM.

The panel will bring together speakers from various sectors – representatives of non-governmental organizations, student initiatives, and institutions responsible for creating and implementing youth policies. Through open dialogue, the discussion will address the challenges and potentials of youth work, its strengthening and sustainability, as well as ways for young people to become more actively involved in decision-making processes within their communities.

As part of the program, a presentation of the Capital City’s candidacy for the title of European Youth Capital 2028 is planned, during which the official campaign website will also be presented.

The closing part of the event will be dedicated to an open discussion with young people and representatives of the civil sector, who will contribute to identifying concrete activities and projects that could be integrated into future frameworks of the Year of Youth through the exchange of opinions and ideas.
