Excellent news from Brussels – The Capital City of Podgorica is officially in the second round of candidacy for the prestigious title of European Youth Capital 2028.

Podgorica’s application was selected among the five strongest contenders that best met the ETC criteria and presented one of the most compelling programs.

In the next round, the team representing the Capital City will continue to work dedicatedly on developing the next steps of the application, providing an opportunity for all of us to contribute to making the application even stronger and richer.

This is further proof that the Capital City of Podgorica is committed to developing youth policy in line with European best practices, genuinely caring about and working to improve the position of young people.

We remind you that this initiative was launched by the City Assembly, President Dr. Jelena Borovinić Bojović, and the NGO “Center for Youth Education.”
