The Youth Office team wishes you happy holidays!

In 2025, the Youth Office of the Capital City achieved notable results in its work with young people, as well as in strengthening youth policy, intersectoral cooperation, and cooperation with non-governmental organizations, confirming its role as a key actor in improving the position of young people in Podgorica.

During the year, funding allocated to youth activities was significantly increased, while the Local Youth Action Plan 2025–2026 was improved and aligned with European practices. This created the conditions for the implementation of projects with larger budgets, higher-quality content, and more sustainable opportunities for young people.

Through the Local Youth Action Plan, the Podgorica EYCA card was implemented, which will bring numerous benefits and discounts to young people in the coming period.

At the beginning of 2025, the Youth Club “Zona mladih” was opened, which in its first year of operation recorded over 3,000 youth participations and fully implemented its Work Plan.

The process of establishing a Youth Club in Ubli (Kuči) was also completed, marking the first Youth Club in the rural part of the city, thereby confirming that youth policy is implemented evenly across all parts of Podgorica.

During 2025, the procedure for establishing the Youth Council of the Capital City was initiated. The Council will begin its active work in 2026 and will represent an important mechanism for youth participation in decision-making processes.

Throughout the year, intersectoral cooperation and cooperation with non-governmental organizations were further strengthened, as well as the credible participation of the Office in projects such as Europe Goes Local, ReLOaD, Shared Horizons, and CIVICAct, the implementation of which will continue in the coming period.

The awarding of the title European Youth Capital 2028 confirms that years of efforts have yielded concrete, visible, and measurable results, and that Podgorica is becoming recognized as a center for young people in Europe.

In 2026, we expect the continuation of intensive work and the implementation of policies that will further improve the position of young people and provide a greater number of quality opportunities for their development.

The Youth Office of the Capital City wishes all young people and partners a happy and successful 2026.
